Adding a period touch with Victorian internal doors
The Objectives
Nestled in a rural setting with stunning views over the countryside, this bespoke, contracted build is a fine marriage of modern architecture with period touches. The client approached Deuren with a goal to achieve the optimum blend of minimalist, contemporary decor with a heritage twist, using doors to perfectly complement this combined interior design style.
Deuren's Solution
For a modern take on a period aesthetic, the client chose our Victorian internal door, staying true to traditional features but with all the benefits and premium features of a contemporary door style. This nostalgic design is utterly timeless and exudes class, confidence, and understated strength.
Single-leaf doors were used in smaller areas, while double-leaf doors were used in larger rooms for an impactful aesthetic. The double-leaf doors also provided a way to beautifully section off living areas. A white painted finish was applied to all the doors throughout the property, for a minimalist look that perfectly complements the property’s pared-back decor.
